Koh Lanta or Lanta Island is a district of Krabi province, a part of Mu Koh Lanta Marine National Park. 


Koh Lanta is located about 70 kilometres from Krabi Town, consisting of two major islands, the larger and more populated Koh Lanta Yai and the smaller Koh Lanta Noi

as well as several minor islands. Tourists know Koh Lanta in the name of Koh Lanta Yai which has 9 attractive white sandy beaches, splendid scenery; coastlines have more than 70 small islands and plenty with forest, coral reefs and under water life. Along the East side, is the villages, hospital, police, schools, etc.  The other side (the West coastline),  there are many resorts scattering near the beach mostly.
